The TBI, ABI, and SCI “Snow Bird” Program

This program was specially designed to serve people who receive residential traumatic brain injury services in cold climate states such as Michigan, Massachusetts, New York, Illinois, etc, but need a warm climate to receive care during the winter months.

Often these persons have neuromedical polytrauma orthopaedic issues that exacerbate in cold weather, and for social and emotional reasons, some people need to avoid the cold climates so they can be outside and stay active in the community.
