TBI Life-Skills Training
Life-skills are taught in a variety of community and facility-based settings. They are necessary for successful community integration and functional independence. Life-skills are adaptive behaviors that are required to deal effectively with the demands of daily living.
Our team designs individualized life-skills training protocols for each client and teaches skills via direct instruction, multiple trials, role play, and modeling. When clients become proficient in targeted areas, the team arranges for the client to practice newly acquired skills in real life situations.
Life-skills teaching may focus on socials skills, ADL’s, job skills, relationship building and interpersonal skills, problem solving, behavioral-self regulation, health management, and more.
